How do you get attendees to stop at your booth and create a memorable impression of your brand? Unique, functional, tasty and fun giveaways were among the most popular traffic generators at EXHIBITORLIVE, held April 24-26 at the Kentucky International Convention Center (KICC) in Louisville, Ky. While I didn’t get a chance to stop at every booth, here are 13 exhibits that stood out to me.

fern
1. Fern Expo gave away cupcakes from Sissy Cakes, a woman-owned baking business in Louisville.

cort
2. The owner of Red Hot Roasters, a local roasting company, made fresh expressos and lattes every day, all day at Cort Furniture

apple rock
3. To celebrate its 35th anniversary in business, Apple Rock gave away cupcakes in their booth.

rockway
4. Rockway Exhibits + Events set up a podcast studio in their booth and recorded interviews with industry professionals, such as Beyanka Soleymanian, marketing manager for Nureva Inc., Ryan Schefke, chief listening officer for Captello, and Jaclyn Gilio, marketing events specialist for VertexOne. Rockway Exhibits + Events CEO Matt Kleinrock interviewed me about trade show and exhibit trends. Stay tuned for the edited podcast.

highway 85
5. Highway 85 Creative had a drawing in their booth and gave away several longboards to those who got a golden ticket.

classic exhibits
6. Classic Exhibits invited those who stopped by their booth to attend a reception at the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory with special guest Otis Junior Nixon, a former Major League Baseball center fielder.

bluehive
7. BlueHive served lemonade boba with honey — to go with the hive — to attendees.

spiro
8. Spiro featured a personalized immersive experience. To get started, attendees selected an environment they preferred such as the beach, forest with a flowing river, clouds, nighttime city scene, under the sea, night sky and
Spiro Interstitial (shown in the image). Then attendees could pull back the curtain and step into a room with floor-to-ceiling displays featuring an immersive experience with scored music in the environment selected.

smartsource
9. Artist Jeremy Sutton drew custom portraits of attendees at the SmartSource booth. They gave each attendee a color printout of the portrait and a 30-second timelapse video of the drawing.

Hamilton
10. Hamilton Exhibits featured live music, mocktails and a signature scent to elevate attendee’s emotions and leave their senses wanting more. Here’s a link to a video highlight from their booth.

Exhibitus
11. At Exhibitus, visitors took part in “adopting” a wolf – with the goal of adopting the entire pack (30 wolves) through the Wolf Conservation Center (WCC) Adopt-a-Wolf program. For every 10 donors, one wolf was adopted. Adopters were given a sticker for participation, and the Exhibius team reached their goal of adopting an entire pack.

aluvision
12. The Aluvision booth featured eye-catching solutions for straight and curved walls, LED video walls, suspended signs, light walls and displays.

4 productions
13. The 4 productions booth featured a curved display wall with a simulated virtual reality experience where users don’t need a headset. The dynamic rendering on the curved linear screen gave an immersive feel that was controlled via mobile device. The wall can also be used as a step and repeat for photos.
